Sawai Pharmaceutical Group Privacy Policy

Sawai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and its Japanese consolidated subsidiaries; Medisa Shinyaku Inc. and Kaken Shoyaku Inc. (hereinafter jointly referred to as the “Sawai Pharmaceutical Group”) comply with applicable laws and regulations, including the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, other norms, and related guidelines. In addition, the Sawai Pharmaceutical Group respects the rights of individuals with respect to their personal information, and will appropriately respond to requests from individuals whose personal information held by the Sawai Pharmaceutical Group within a reasonable time period.

1. Acquisition (Collection) and Use of Personal Information
The Sawai Pharmaceutical Group acquires (collects) personal information after specifying the purpose of its use. Personal information acquired (collected) shall not be used for any purpose other than which has been notified to or for which the consent has been obtained in advance from the individual identified by such personal information.
2. Provision to a Third Party
The Sawai Pharmaceutical Group shall not provide any personal information held by the Sawai Pharmaceutical Group to any third party without the consent of the individual identified by such personal information or as permitted by laws and regulations. In the event the Sawai Pharmaceutical Group consigns the processing of personal information to a third party, it shall contractually obligate such third party to protect the confidentiality of such personal information. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the personal information may be shared within the Sawai Pharmaceutical Group only in the event it is necessary to use such personal information jointly.
3. Management of Personal Information
The Sawai Pharmaceutical Group shall securely manage all personal information that it acquires (collects) in the course of its business, whether stored in writing, electromagnetic or in any other means, and implements reasonable information security measures to prevent illegal or unauthorized access, damage, loss, falsification, or leakage.
4. Shared Use of Personal Information
Sawai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. shares personal information of doctors, pharmacists, pharmacies, and healthcare professionals in the Medical Database (MDB) managed and operated by Nihon Ultmarc Inc. in accordance with their purpose of use. 5. Procedures for Disclosure or Suspension of Use of Personal Information
All requests for the purpose of notification of intended use, disclosure, correction, addition, or suspension (including deletion) of personal information held by the Sawai Pharmaceutical Group shall be accepted in the form prescribed as follows. All procedures are free of charge, but if you need a reply from us, you need to bear a postage of 512 yen (first class standard size postal item: 82 yen, plus registered mail: 430 yen) as the actual cost for reply.
